Lois Lane as Cinderella: Lady-to-Maid Content in 1960s Comics

This blog's reader, who also happens to be a collector of vintage comics, came across this little gem that many of you may enjoy as lady-to-maid fans. It's from a 1964 issue of the Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane and, as you can see from the cover, has Lois Lane assume the role of Cinderella. She's then forced to experience life as a humiliated house servant (but does get to go the ball too!).

This being an 1960s DC comics the downgrade themes are obviously very light and reminded me slightly of British girl comics from the same period that featured numerous stories of lady/maid swaps (all ending happily, of course).

In this particular comic book, Superman agrees to tell Lois his real identity only if she completed a challenge: they will travel to three time periods and in each one Superman will disguise as someone. If Lois Lane guesses who he is, he will reveal his identity to her. In one of the time periods Lois finds herself as Cinderella. Superman tears up her clothes and puts her with a step mother who punishes her for having run away. Needless to say, her step sisters appear shortly to tease her. Like in the original fairytale, she eventually goes to the ball but at midnight her gown turns into rags (see scans below).

Story: The Statue

Re-published with the author's kind permission. Please check out Tservo's wonderful Deviant Art page devoted to body- and age- swap stories.  I am generally not into magic in L2M stories, but this one is so well done I couldn't resist sharing it with you.

Maria Rodriguez opened the door quietly in the crisp and dark early morning. She disarmed the alarm and began turning on lights in the kitchen. She took off her coat and hung it up in the closet next to the pantry. She tied on her white apron over her plain light blue dress to begin cooking breakfast. Her long black hair was pinned up as always and on her feet were her ever present comfortable white sneakers.

Breakfast wasn’t hard to get ready but her boss liked a warm breakfast casserole to start off her day.

So once it was in to the oven, Maria headed upstairs to begin getting the bathroom ready.

She laid out fresh towels and a fluffy bathmat while lining up soap and shampoos, conditioners and lotions.

At exactly 6, she opened the door “Ms. Reeves; it’s time to get up” she said as she crossed the room.

Story: A Clean Mouth

In my quest to gather all the lady-to-maid stories out there under one roof, I've come across this story by Volt Namazuros. Mind control is typically not my thing, but here it's evened out by another favorite fetish of mine - race/cultural change. I hope you enjoy it.

A Clean Mouth

by Volt Namazuros

“God, this place is a mess....Jie?! Jie, get in here!”
I tapped my foot impatiently as I looked around my study; I could see fingerprints on the glass tabletops, there was dust on the mantle, and my brass, full length mirror looked absolutely filthy. I took a moment to straighten my skirt as I looked up and down at my reflection, making sure I looked presentable. I had been working at this firm for a year; as far as I was concerned, being a lawyer was the best job ever. I had the two most important things; respect and money. If my meeting today went well, I’d be looking at a huge raise, so I had to look nice....I sighed, sticking my small chest out a little, trying to display what I thought was a proper amount of cleavage.

Story: When Lightening Strikes: A Model Maid

Thanks to T.H.Enerdly I was able to recover this 1998 story from a now defunct website. I believe this is the first lady-to-maid transformation story that I've read. It was later turned into a comic (with a somewhat changed storyline) - I posted it here -  but this original story is what got me interested in the topic initially.

Cindy Crawford sat down the paper unread on her lap. She heard her Chinese immigrant maid Mimi come in with the groceries. The girl had been with her for 3 months and her English had improved somewhat, but she was still hard to understand with her heavy Chinese accent.

She called, "Mimi!"

The tiny woman came in and bowed "Yes, Miss Crawford."

"Would you bring me a Pepsi please, a diet Pepsi of course I have to watch my figure."

Story: Borrowed Gown 2. The New Life.

By Eric
(continuing a Story by Eryka.)

Colleen a beautiful young white woman smiled happily into the mirror.

"Y'all looks beautiful, Miz Colleen," said her devoted and admiring maid.

Colleen smiled with more than a hint of hidden meaning. It still amused her to hear her ignorant maid address her as 'Miz Colleen' and with such a servile attitude and also to be waited on hand and foot by the young black woman who was putting the finishing touches to HER beautiful blond hair. Life had sure improved in the last six weeks! Her smiled widened. And nobody knew or guessed at the turnabout. Not Kevin, not her colleagues at the firm, or 'her' family.

"Thank you, Chantel, I truly hope that Kevin thinks so, too!" she said in her lovely, soft elegant voice.

Colleen flashed her expensive diamond and emerald engagement ring. Her hands were soft and smooth and elegant. A sharp contrast to Chantel's rough and worked hardened hands.

Story: The Borrowed Gown

by Eryka Lynn

Colleen and Kevin had been friends since they were four years old. Colleen always wanted what was best for Kevin. She also always hoped that Kevin would someday look at her as more than just a friend; she wanted to be his girl. She also was very rich – her parents had left her with a small fortune.

Colleen had a very large condominium overlooking a lake, a beautiful car,
expensive clothes and jewelry – everything except her man. The condominium was
large enough that she even had a room for a part-time live-in maid named
Chantel. Chantel was a pretty African American girl who was very friendly and
had a personality very much like Colleen's. She came from the Deep South and
never even graduated from grade school. She could barely write and her English
was extremely bad. She came from a very poor family, which limited both her
wardrobe and her social activities. But she had plans to change that soon – and
Colleen and Kevin’s lives would never be the same.

A Model Maid Comic

The story this comic is based on a transformation story that was posted on the now defunct Robo's website in the late 1990s. Here is the original story the comic is based on.
