Natalie opened the door for her new landlady. This wouldn't have been so bad, except for the fact that Natalie used to own this house. Now, she had lost all the equity she had built, and the place was sold from beneath her feet. And who was the buyer? Someone Natalie loathed: Charlotte Lamberton.

"Good morning, Nat!"

Charlotte was dressed in her usual sundress and strappy sandals, practically smirking at Natalie as she strolled into the home that was now hers. She had on a pearl necklace, and carried a large Starbucks frappucino. She kicked off her sandals and waltzed into Natalie's living room, placing her bare feet on the coffee table atop one of Natalie's literary zines.

"I brought over the new lease for you to sign. Oh, and I need the deposit – does three thousand work for you?"

Why did her mom always drop her off right in front of the salon?

"Thank you for the ride, mother," Leah said in an icy tone, still mad about the fact that the woman had grounded her for 'talking back.' 

Leah immediately regretted her choice of words – she knew exactly how much she sounded like a bratty teenager right now. If she could have afforded a rideshare, she would have taken it instead. Or better yet, she could have driven herself if she hadn't gotten that illegal U-turn ticket that resulted in her parents dropping her from their insurance. 

"You're welcome, dear. Try to smile at work today, okay? Don't look like such a sourpuss!" Leah's mother said as the girl shut the car door. 

As Leah approached Mrs. Kim's nail salon, she could only sigh. How could her mom expect her to smile when she was about to spend the entire day massaging woman's' feet and polishing their toes? And to earn barely any money, while wearing a degrading outfit all the while?

Mana Ray, whose work at Erotic Mind-Control Archive I've mentioned earlier, sent me a long excerpt from her ongoing story she's publishing on her Patreon page. It's inspired by the (yet) unfinished story on this blog, Maid in China. The chapter dwells on Alice's new life, her social drop and degradation, in particular on how she's forced to serve her former friends. There are several chapters before this one and several are to follow.

It wasn't until 4AM that Farrah and Alice left Jocelyn's room, and the girls were so bone-tired that they didn't even play with each other's feet after they got into their shared bed.

As Alice peeled off her stockings, she contrasted her own situation with Jocelyn's. Her employer was asleep in bed, having showered and received a lengthy massage while Alice was covered in foot creme and debris that women had rubbed into her uniform. Bits of dust fell from her maid's tunic as she undid all the buttons – the same dust she had painstakingly swept from the Zuang's floor on her hands and knees. With profound relief Alice removed the painful new heels she once coveted, knowing that she would probably have to put on yet another stiff leather pair tomorrow.

Even standing on a carpet felt like a luxury to the girl now, a small taste of something she used to take for granted. For a moment she rested and thought of her old life. It seemed like an incredibly long time ago that she sat at the same table with all her friends. How could it feel like she had been working for Jocelyn for so long? Hadn't it only been like three days?

Another Library Page Update

Thanks to a number of blog readers that suggested stories I should add to my library after my previous update post a month ago, I now have quite a few new items I am happy to link. They are of varying size and quality, but all deal with the subject of social drop and degradation and feature maids.

One recent lady-to-maid story that I really liked was published by Tcheser in his blog. It's called Hidden Shame an deals with themes of "makeunder" and role reversal as the protagonist goes from an arrogant beauty to a plain housekeeper to her former friend.

A reader pointed me to Akiko's Bodyswap Captions blog. One of the recurrent themes there is transformation into a maid. While anime is typically not my cup of tea, some of the content is pretty interesting for a lady-to-maid afficionado. Here is a recent example of the type of captions found there - Was I tricked?
