Chapter
5
Cassandra
stayed in the room used for the role play for a good hour alone with her
thoughts.
The
Lockwood women had left her feeling vulnerable and unsure, what was she going
to do. Bad enough that her working being a maid had been exposed, but more
worrying, what had also come to light. The results from the evaluations
presented to her did not lie and what the woman had said was true, she had no
idea that she had presented a totally different profile from test to test. The
two words that had rated the various evaluations sticking in her mind, Wolf and
Sheep. Two totally opposing profiles chalk and cheese how could that be, how
did she not know, how was she not aware of what she was doing and saying? The
word strings that she had been shown, the core words that had been extracted,
littered with weak, submissive words. Had this happened before whilst at work?
This Lockwood woman suggested it could have, and why not, how would she
know?
Cassandra
racked her mind trying to remember deals that had gone wrong, had not met
profitability targets, where she had been weak and malleable, a Sheep? She
could not do that here she would need her files, client history. These triggers
perhaps there are others how would she know. The feelings of vulnerability and
uncertainty were changing to panic and fear.
Miss
Lockwood, Evelyn, had offered to help, find the root of the problem, she had
nothing to lose, had she? If a report were to be sent to the chairman now,
outlining this exposed weakness, checks would certainly be carried out, would
they find weak deals, bad deals her career would be over. She would need time to
go through everything to check the contracts.
Back
in her room Cassandra, having showered and changed, laid on her bed watching
the clock tick towards four.
Sat
in Miss Lockwood’s office Sandra was anxious to know what Evelyn had learned
from the maid agency and what her plans for Miss Fellows were. Surely now they
had the facts they would prepare a report for the Chairman of Hobson and Lloyd?
Evelyn
pushed Professor Monroe’s paper on the subject of Dissociative Identity
Disorder across her desk.
“I
know you will have read this, be familiar with the subject. If this is the case
with Miss Fellows, and I strongly suggest it is, I would like to conduct an
experiment. Cassandra’s maid persona must be close to the surface, it has to
be, to be triggered like it was. Miss Fellows executive persona is dominant and
successfully supresses maid Cassie but, I will be interested to see, when
Cassie is released and free, how she supresses Miss Fellows, Cassandra the
executive. How close to the edge is that mental balance of power.”
Evelyn
laughed.
