Story: Miss Cassandra Fellows. Chapters 5-6.

by Jackie J

Chapter 5

Cassandra stayed in the room used for the role play for a good hour alone with her thoughts.

The Lockwood women had left her feeling vulnerable and unsure, what was she going to do. Bad enough that her working being a maid had been exposed, but more worrying, what had also come to light. The results from the evaluations presented to her did not lie and what the woman had said was true, she had no idea that she had presented a totally different profile from test to test. The two words that had rated the various evaluations sticking in her mind, Wolf and Sheep. Two totally opposing profiles chalk and cheese how could that be, how did she not know, how was she not aware of what she was doing and saying? The word strings that she had been shown, the core words that had been extracted, littered with weak, submissive words. Had this happened before whilst at work? This Lockwood woman suggested it could have, and why not, how would she know?

Cassandra racked her mind trying to remember deals that had gone wrong, had not met profitability targets, where she had been weak and malleable, a Sheep? She could not do that here she would need her files, client history. These triggers perhaps there are others how would she know. The feelings of vulnerability and uncertainty were changing to panic and fear.

Miss Lockwood, Evelyn, had offered to help, find the root of the problem, she had nothing to lose, had she? If a report were to be sent to the chairman now, outlining this exposed weakness, checks would certainly be carried out, would they find weak deals, bad deals her career would be over. She would need time to go through everything to check the contracts.

Back in her room Cassandra, having showered and changed, laid on her bed watching the clock tick towards four.

Sat in Miss Lockwood’s office Sandra was anxious to know what Evelyn had learned from the maid agency and what her plans for Miss Fellows were. Surely now they had the facts they would prepare a report for the Chairman of Hobson and Lloyd?

Evelyn pushed Professor Monroe’s paper on the subject of Dissociative Identity Disorder across her desk.

“I know you will have read this, be familiar with the subject. If this is the case with Miss Fellows, and I strongly suggest it is, I would like to conduct an experiment. Cassandra’s maid persona must be close to the surface, it has to be, to be triggered like it was. Miss Fellows executive persona is dominant and successfully supresses maid Cassie but, I will be interested to see, when Cassie is released and free, how she supresses Miss Fellows, Cassandra the executive. How close to the edge is that mental balance of power.”

Evelyn laughed.

“Perhaps Cassandra has been in control long enough and with some encouragement of course, I wonder if it is time for Cassie to take control. What a revelation that would be, think of the publicity? I intend to subtly convince Cassandra that her career could be over, in tatters, reduce her self-worth and at the same time place plaudits on maid Cassie. Miss Tutteridge told me that Cassie is one of her best maids so that should not be difficult should it?  By the time Miss Fellows, Cassandra, realises what is happening Maid Cassie will have become the dominant persona. Cassie the maid is currently supressed within Cassandra the executive. Once free, Cassie the maid will have Cassandra, the failed executive, trapped and why would a successful maid wish to return to being a failed executive?”

Sandra stared at Evelyn.

Really? You are going to do that, but it is the triggers that are the catalyst for the flip. Say you have the subject in her maid persona and, she sees a smart businesswoman, an executive car, a wardrobe full of high fashion surely the subject will revert flip again?

Evelyn smirked.

You are right Sandra triggers; they are the key for containment. If Cassandra could control those triggers, if we made those triggers negative instead of positive. Reinforce that the maid’s uniform is plain, harsh fabric, dowdy. If we can make the performance of maid’s work unpleasant and hard. That maids are poor, need I go on. That would keep her maid persona suppressed and locked away. Cassandra would have no issues with flipping and a Wolf she would remain.

Sandra looked puzzled and Evelyn continued

So, with Cassie allowed free reign, consider the obverse. Denigrate Cassandra the executive, its life, and trappings, all it is, all it was, the triggers you allude to, that should bring her executive persona to be dominant will only serve to supress that persona more. The wolf will be gone, feared even, and our sheep will be more than happy to graze in its servitude.

The penny was beginning to drop, and Sandra chuckled.

“But how long will that take, how will you know you have your sheep in its pen and what then, what will you do with this maid.”

Evelyn with her plan considered had no issues in sharing it with her colleague.

“How long will it take? I am not sure, of course it may not work at all in which case we will report to Hobson and Lloyds chairman in the normal way reporting our findings. However, we have all the means necessary to evaluate our progress here at Temple’s, don’t we?”

Evelyn smirked.

You ask what will become of the maid Cassie. Well, when, and if I have my maid? Beyond its public display, to publicise that our unique techniques have exposed the weaknesses, in what was thought a successful senior executive, weaknesses that had laid hidden deceiving other evaluations, I have a friend with a rambling house, not far from here in fact. She already has a maid, but I am sure she would appreciate a maid like Cassie, she also tips the velvet, quite aggressively I understand.”

Four O’clock and Cassandra hesitantly knocked on Miss Lockwood’s door and entered her office.

Evelyn stood from her desk and smiled.

“Do come in Cassandra, take a seat, I trust you have thought over our discussion earlier?”

Sat by Miss Lockwood’s desk Cassandra looked up and across at the smiling Miss Lockwood. Thought on what she had been told? She had thought of nothing else.

“First Miss Lockwood thank you for not making a big issue about the maid thing, it is something I have always done, I thought it was harmless, had not affected my work but now?”

“Yes, I have thought about what you said, I still cannot believe I was unaware of my performances, weak performances, with the tests and evaluations. That I could, indeed you said most probably have, had such episodes before, could happen again, whilst at work? It is frightening, scary?”

Evelyn opened a folder on her desk and scanning the copy made some tutting noises.

Yes, scary indeed, this your file. Now, everything we do together to end these inconsistencies that have been exposed in Miss Cassandra Fellows will be in strict confidence between us. There must be total trust and I do mean total. I have every faith that at the end of the program, the program that I am going to propose, given it reaches its conclusion, the conflict of personalities between Cassandra and Cassie will be over. Cassandra Fellows will be unhindered, the strong and effective executive, and Cassie the perfect maid will be just that, and only that. Cassandra Fellows will no longer be troubled by lapses of weakness. We are fortunate that we have all that is required here at Temples.

Evelyn paused gauging Cassandra’s reaction then continued.

“Obviously, whatever I propose, without your total commitment, we will gain nothing so, do I have that commitment, can you give me that commitment.”

Cassandra just wanted to be free of this place, she would have to, there was a problem, she knew that now, an insidious mental problem that was set to continue haunting her. If she just left now, with the report following her, her career would be over for sure. Temples are the leaders in their field, Miss Lockwood, the owner, had achieved that reputation and she was offering to help. From what had been said, Cassandra’s sharp executive mind was and is being surreptitiously infiltrated by her maid persona Cassie, Miss Lockwood is promising to devise a program to ensure the two personalities never overlap again. She had nothing to lose, had she? Commitment to what though? She would have to trust Miss Lockwood she would have to.

“Well yes you have my commitment but commitment to what exactly, what is this program, what are you proposing, what will I have to do?”

Evelyn could sense the worry and she was right to worry.

“Your commitment is to trust me, that together we will bring an end to your problem once and for all. How that is achieved is down to me. For your part you will follow the program I prepare without question. If that is not a good enough explanation then you may as well leave temples now and I will prepare my report, is that what you want?”

Casandra stared at Miss Lockwood, hesitated, then spoke

“No that is not what I want, I think you know that by me being here now, it’s just that I am curious what this will entail, that’s all.”

Evelyn sat back and smiled.

“It will entail your total trust in me. Know that everything I ask, what we do, is to one end, to separate Miss Casandra Fellows from Maid Cassie permanently, that is all, I will explain what is required as we progress, so do we proceed?”

Evelyn stood and held out her hand.

“Well?”

Cassandra stood from her chair and their two hands met, an agreement reached.

“Yes, yes of course and thank you Miss Lockwood, I do appreciate what you are offering to do for me.”

Evelyn smiled.

“Save your thanks until we are finished. Come back to my office in the morning at nine thirty and we can cover the formalities before we begin the program.”

Cassandra left and headed to the restaurant for her evening meal.

Sat at her table, her food ordered, nursing an aperitif Cassandra considered what lay ahead. Would this bring an end to her “hobby” many was the time she had tried but her desires in that regard were as strong as ever. Perhaps it was the strength of those desires that had been her undoing. Miss Lockwood seemed very genuine in her wish to help her; she could have said nothing, just sent her report, that would have been a catastrophe. Cassandra’s thoughts turned to what financial losses she may unknowingly already have caused for Hobson and Lloyd reflecting on recent and historic contracts. Nothing came to mind, but then why would it, she would not remember would she, could she? Before she got too deep into self-recrimination her meal arrived.

It was a restless night’s sleep for Cassandra but having skipped breakfast, showered, and dressed in a smart dark figure defining suit, she was ready for the day and what it may bring.

A last glance in the vanity to check her hair and makeup she walked up into the centre past reception arriving at Miss Lockwood’s office at twenty-five past nine. Knocking on the door she entered.

Miss Lockwood looked up from her desk and smiled at the elegant and assured Miss Fellows entering her office.

“What a lovely suit Cassandra and that blouse, silk, and such a soft shade of mauve, beautiful.”

“First Cassandra, given you have finished the course you were on you will need to sign a temporary insurance disclaimer and this yellow form for the program you are undertaking with me. Formalities but our administration department are sticklers for this sort of thing.”

Cassandra approached the desk and scanned the forms, nothing out of the ordinary. An insurance declaration covering Cassandra Fellows whilst remaining at Temples. The yellow form accepting enrolment on a bespoke program with Miss Lockwood. Her signature scrawled on both; Cassandra took a seat.

Cassandra looked questioningly at Miss Lockwood when offered a I phone a I phone she instantly recognised to be her own in its distinctive case? The mobile followed across the desk by a sheet of paper which she read.

“Vacation, I have not planned a holiday”

Miss Lockwood looked over her glasses a serious expression on her face.

“I have written what you need to send in your email. Do it now, we have much to do.”

Cassandra wanted to question Miss Lockwood but from her tone and expression chose to comply and tapped in the request word for word and pressed send.

Evelyn took back the mobile.

“Good that’s done, they will understand, a tiring week on your course, time to reflect, need some down time, recommended by those running the course you have been on, it will be fine and no calls or emails, not an unusual request being on vacation.”

Cassandra frowned.

“Two weeks! is that how long this is going to take?”

Evelyn stood and smiled.

“It will take as long as it takes that will be all down to you Cassandra, all down to you.”

“Now before we get started, I would like to review this with you, a fascinating read.”

Cassandra gulped seeing her leather backed diary placed on the desk, this was too much.

First the I phone and now the diary they must have been removed from the security locker and Cassandra was not pleased.

“You have taken my mobile and now my private diary from my locker. I understood the security lockers were just that, secure for delegates registered here at Temples.

Evelyn had expected such a reaction from Miss Fellows.

“That’s right Cassandra, for delegates registered at Temples, perhaps you are forgetting you are no longer a delegate here, I had your things removed. Don’t look so worried Cassandra, this is good that you have recorded your time being a maid, this will help me immensely, help us both, shall we get started?”

Chapter 6

The next two hours were painful reminiscing for Cassandra though true to her word, Miss Lockwood was not judgemental during the whole time, even with regards to the explicit accounts of her sapphic encounters. Without judgement, Cassandra refrained from seeking to defend what she had done that was so eloquently recorded on the turning pages.

Evelyn closed the back cover of the diary and looked at a sullen Cassandra before sliding the book towards her.

“Here it is yours, keep it for future recordings, most interesting, I feel I now know Cassie, which is most important for what I, we, are looking to achieve. To commence this program, it is fundamental that Cassie is allowed to express herself, be herself without hindrance. The facilitation of this will allow us to isolate, deconstruct and dismantle ever possible trigger between the persona’s so each persona will exist unfettered in their own right, Cassandra Fellows the executive and Cassie the maid. Follow every instruction to the letter without question and I am convinced that will be the outcome and that is what you want isn’t it?

Cassandra smiled, it was what she wanted, her maid persona was unknowingly impinging on her executive life. Miss Lockwood was confident that she could isolate and curtail the insidious mental connections that had built up and threatened her career. The program creating two isolated entities. The executive the maid.

“Yes, it is very much so, I will of course follow your instructions.”

Evelyn Returned to the evaluation reports for Miss Cassandra Fellows.

“Well, I think we must accept that Cassie is the most competent of maids, an excellent maid according to Miss Tutteridge, and Cassie’s own diary confirms this. However, from these reports we can see that Cassandra is a risk to her company perhaps undeserving of the rewards she enjoys. A senior executive putting her colleague’s livelihoods at stake because of her mental instability. A failing executive on the one hand and a very successful maid on the other. I am looking forward to speaking with this maid, Cassie.

Cassandra was confused Miss Lockwood had not been judgemental in any way regarding her being Cassie in fact just the opposite seeing Cassie to be a perfect maid. But she had just been quite scathing about her performance as an executive?

Evelyn stood and took her jacket for the coat stand in the corner.

“You came here by car Cassandra I believe these are your keys.”

Cassandra picked up the keys, more from the locker no doubt.

“Yes, it is in the visitor’s park, the blue Mercedes are we going somewhere?”

Evelyn opened the office door

“Yes, we have a call to make, it should not take long.”

Whilst Cassandra drove Evelyn continued her denigration of Cassandra the executive alluding to what damage she could have done to the company. How long this could have been going on, how it had to be stopped, how wretched Cassandra must feel. When Cassandra entered Temples she was successful and confident the more Miss Lockwood spoke the more she was doubting herself doubting her abilities, she was actually beginning to feel wretched.

Under directions from Miss Lockwood, they were soon pulling off Regents boulevard, it was obvious now were they were heading. The car parked in its reserved space Cassandra and Miss Lockwood entered the elevator and Cassandra was soon stood keys in hand outside her apartment. Inside Miss Lockwood walked across the lounge to the large picture window and looked out over the city.

“Lovely view, lovely apartment.”

Cassandra stared at Miss Lockwood this was Cassandra’s private space, rarely if ever were visitors invited.

“Yes, I like the place, but why are we here?”

Miss Lockwood spoke in a very matter of fact way.

“We are here to find Cassie of course. At least Cassie is successful in what she does. You dress down when you go to Miss Tutteridge’s for Cassie’s assignments don’t you, go and change and pack Cassies uniforms.”

Cassandra was hesitant.

“But I thought Cassie was my problem?”

Miss Lockwood’s voice indicated a degree of agitation.

“Problem, Cassie is the problem? You must trust me Cassandra, Cassie is the cure, now quickly, go and change please.”

Cassandra skulked to her bedroom and entered her wardrobe selecting her dress down clothing then, sliding her expensive suits along the rail, pulled the case containing her Miss Tutteridge’s uniforms from behind.

What Miss Lockwood had said, about her and about Cassie, she was right Cassie was successful, she was an excellent maid, everyone said so. I was now being looked on as a failure, a risk to the company, if all this came out, what I have probably done, what would people say about me, who would employ me? I can only hope what Miss Lockwood is planning works. Whatever she says I am going to do, that is for sure.

Removing her designer suit and blouse then her no less desirable underwear Cassandra slipped into a pair of plain cotton panties and cheap bra. Sat at her vanity Cassandra removed all her makeup, then, from her special bag of cheap cosmetics, without foundation, brushed mascara and rouged her lips before scrapping her hair back into a tight pony secured with a budget band. It was a transformation ritual she had performed many times but never witnessed catching the reflection of Miss Lockwood stood by the door. It felt wrong but strangely erotic, arousing. Unzipping the side pocket of her case it was Cassie now that pushed the pouch of cosmetics inside and closed the zip, it was habitual. Cassandra stripped on her designer wear was gone. it was Cassie, in her budget underwear, that stood from her chair to face a smiling Miss Lockwood.

“Perfect Cassie, now hang up Miss Fellows clothing in the wardrobe, get dressed then bring your case into the lounge.”

Cassie felt an arousing tingle run through her, Miss Lockwood calling her Cassie, Miss Fellows being referred to in the third person. Miss Lockwood’s casual acceptance of her drastic change in appearance. At least Cassie was a good maid, Miss Lockwood had said as much, so the criticism she had endured on the way from Mansfield Manor should cease.

Cassie, having hung the designer suit in the walk-in closet, racked the heels, and dumped her underwear in the laundry basket, Cassie walked back into the lounge carrying her case dressed as she would to visit Miss Tutteridge’s offices.

Miss Lockwood marvelled at the physical transformation of Miss Fellows, four inches shorter without her heels, wearing jeans and a hoody, hair tied back, garish but minimal makeup, thick mascara, and bright lips. Not a disguise though, those bright eyes could never be hidden. Something for Miss Lockwood to consider.

Miss Lockwood standing from the Sofa with Cassandra’s keys in hand pointed to the door.

“Shall we go?”

It was Evelyn who locked up the apartment retaining the keys.

Exiting the elevator Cassie turned towards the car park only to be halted by Miss Lockwood.

“No Cassie, your diaries are quite explicit about Cassie not taking Miss Fellows vehicle, we are to be collected and remember Cassie, Miss Fellows is away on holiday, she would not take her car.”

Cassies instinctive response made Evelyn smile.

“Sorry Miss.”

Temple’s sleek limousine was parked outside the apartment block and the rear doors opened by an attentive driver Miss Lockwood and Cassie entered and buckled up for the journey.

Directed by Miss Lockwood the car pulled up outside a general store. Miss Lockwood was not inside the shop long and offered her purchase to Cassie who looked questioningly at Miss Lockwood. There was nothing designer about them, broad framed stout and practical was the description on the label that Cassie removed.

“Well, put them on Cassie, they are the lowest magnification.”

The glasses in place the years added by Cassie’s plainness were further confirmed and her sparkling eyes shone less bright.

“Perfect Cassie they suit you and we would not want anyone at the centre confusing you with the client we had recently, Miss Fellow’s, would we?”

During the journey back to Mansfield Manor Evelyn spoke not to Cassandra Fellows but to Cassie the maid, quoting from her own diary. Nothing but compliments for Cassie she had read that she was a perfect maid and that Miss Tutteridge had recommended her. Evelyn taking the opportunity to inform the maid of the problems that Miss Lockwood had with Miss Fellows. Continuing to speak of Cassandra in the third person conspiratorially as if sharing a confidence. Miss Fellows had performed badly at Temples, her career could be at risk.

Cassie had found the referral to herself, Miss Cassandra Fellows, in the third person strange and somewhat disquieting at first, but in the situation, she found herself, it felt comforting, right somehow. Miss Lockwood had not been judgemental from the outset and now surprisingly as if a switch had been thrown, she was fully accepting her to be Cassie. Of course, the way she now looked why wouldn’t she? Miss Lockwood was obviously disappointed with Cassandra but not so Cassie.

Back at Temples Cassie with case in hand, was marched unrecognised through reception by Miss Lockwood to her office.

“Now Cassie, you are here because I am helping a client, a Miss Cassandra Fellows, we spoke of her in the car on the way here. You will not be meeting her but trust me all your work here will be helping her considerably. Miss Fellows proved herself to be less than competent, like I told you but, she signed an agreement for you to work here for which you should be grateful. I understand that you are an excellent maid and whilst you are here you will have the opportunity to prove that.”

Evelyn’s expression became quite stern as did the tone of her voice.

“A word of caution, you must remember your position here, you are just a maid a good maid but just a maid. You will be told what you need to know and nothing else. Should you feel the need you to discuss your sponsor, Miss Fellows, with me, you will ask your supervisor Mr Roberts for an appointment, is that clear GIRL”.

Cassie filling with the submissive weakness that she revelled in lowered her gaze at this subtle admonishment being called girl only adding to these feelings.

“Yes Miss.”

Evelyn pleased with Cassie’s response picked up her phone.

“Come through to my office will you I have your replacement maid here waiting.”

John Roberts entered Miss Lockwood’s office and walked towards her desk looking at the seated Cassie.

“This the girl Miss Lockwood, on your feet then, Cassie isn’t it?”

Cassie stood and spoke without hesitation.

“Yes, sir. Cassie, sir.”

John looked his new housemaid over not leering but impressed with her figure.

“Right girl, come with me plenty of work waiting for you, I will get you settled in then I can run through your rota.”

Cassie picked up her case and followed Mr Roberts out of Miss Lockwood’s office, past reception, and down corridors she was not familiar with before descending a staircase to a lower floor. A door pushed open Cassie looked into a very basic room.

“Here we are Cassie this is your room. This is our resident maid’s quarters who is away on sick leave. Unpack your things get changed and come down to my office, Green door on the right at the end of the hallway.”

Cassie entered the room placing her case on the single bed.

Miss Lockwood had been so controlling and she herself, Cassandra Fellows, had allowed all this to happen? Some hours had past now since she was dressed in her Dior suit, stockings and heels and made up, a client of Temples, Now? Now she was dressed down about to enter service at the very same facility, a maid. She was no stranger to the work of a maid, she was a good maid, a very good maid. There must be a good reason for what Miss Lockwood was doing? No longer considering her to be Cassandra Fellows at all, but merely Cassie, one of Miss Tutteridge’s maids. Cassie flicked open her case and stared at her neatly folded uniforms and smiled After what had happened, the revelations, the embarrassment perhaps she was a better being a maid than an executive. Nobody judged her for that, especially Miss Lockwood.

With those thoughts in her mind, having placed her uniforms into the closet alongside those of the absent resident, and her underwear into an empty drawer, she stripped down to her panties and bra then started to dress. Coarse denier tights, a cheap nylon slip and her familiar black dress. Her flat shoes laced, and apron tied she looked into the mirror pinning her lace cap in place. Cassie smiled at her image wearing the glasses and adjusted them on her nose. The glasses certainly made her look different. Miss Lockwood wanted her to wear them and her vision did not appear too badly affected so it would be fine. Dressed in her uniform any reservations that Cassie had of her situation were fleeting and fading. a ripple of arousal ran through her like it always did on the first day of a new assignment. She was Cassie and, whilst not explicitly implied, she knew she must follow Miss Lockwood’s lead and forget Cassandra, that she was Cassandra even, she was not responsible for Cassandra’s problems, not whilst she was Cassie, was she?

  1. It`s nice and all, but what about Cleaner returns? More than a month without updates - when can we expect another installment, Camille?

    1. The next installment is being polished as we speak. Hopefully next week it will be ready for prime time.

    5. Big bird's droppings is genius but in all seriousness, we may know where the story is headed because it's been written before as apposed to knowing where Jackie's stories are going because they're all the same.
Here's your spoiler: Cassie will wind up as the suddenly lesbian maid of her former assistant's mother, wearing her chastity belt, collar and dyed black bobbed hair as always.
The only difference here is surprise glasses which is just lifted from The Cleaner anyway.

  2. This is certainly the best JackieJ story so far. It has at least some realism and demands a lower suspension of disbelief than most. I'm intrigued to learn if there is a real effort to help Miss Fellows or if Cassie is here to stay.

    Thanks
