Here's a list of some of my favorites, both oldies and new ones I've recently discovered. Most are free, a few are ebooks you can purchase. (Disclaimer: I may earn a small commission for any purchases you make via Amazon affiliate e-book links. You purchase will help me support this blog.)
Little Brown Girl (affiliate link): this wonderful novel from Tom Tame was recently suggested to me by my Robyn Hoode. An aging business executive is transformed into a dark-skinned native girl and must serve his former wife as an immigrant servant maid. In a way, it is similar to Only A Baby Machine, which I've already recommended to my newsletter subscribers. The author's attention to psychological detail is impeccable. In short, this is one of the best maid and racial change stories I've read in recent years. Really well done.
Girl-E: This 7-part epic by Pyrite is of the best age regression stories I've ever read. A man accidentally takes an experimental drug and becomes a teenage girl. When it comes to "back to school" stories it rarely gets any better (with a possible exception of the next entry).
The Sidereus Prophecy: It's hard for me to describe this gem of a novel without going overboard with superlatives. If you haven't read it, please do yourself a favor. You won't be able to do it in one go, but the days you spend on it will be very well worth it. When it comes to adult-to-teen transformation psychology it doesn't get any better than that.
A Plantation Story: a classic tale from The Professor is one of the first (and still the best) racial change stories I've read. The fact that it is set in Antebellum U.S. South only adds to the story's appeal. Racial change, maids and a Victorian-era setting. For me, it's a match made in heaven.
The Circus: Selfish greed leads the male protagonist to join an all-female circus incognito to locate a missing heiress. He's soon trapped in a bizarre life as a black "savage" lady. Another cultural change classic, even as it is a bit strong for some. Outstanding imagery and highly inventive.
To Cheat Fate: Voodoo magic transforms a white special agent into a black Caribbean girl. An incredibly enjoyable transformation story from the trio of Caleb Jones, Raven and Eric.
SRU: Lover's (K)not: Anything by the incredibly prolific and talented Morpheus is worth reading. I remember really enjoying this story in particular when I first read it (was it really in the last century?). I think the Spells R' Us universe has run its course, but this early one is among the best.
Altered Fates: Lord's Player: A story by Pyrite (Paul1954). Peter uses the Medallion of Zulo to turn himself into his wife's Spanish personal maid in order to find out if she's been cheating on him. This is one of my most favorite "stuck" stories that I've read numerous times. There is also a modified version prepared by Eric.
Geneva stories: Geneva is a master of period TG stories, although she's done some with contemporary settings as well. As a history buff, I've always admired her attention to detail and excellent research. If I have to recommend specific stories, I can mention Turkish Delight, Made Mademoiselle and Nun So Lovely.
Life's a Great Lotto: Another story by Pyrite and one of my all-time favorites. File this one under "digging your own grave" category. A cheating husband thinks it's a good idea to claim his wife's winning lottery ticket. Before he knows it he's impersonating a woman and begins his slow descent. Highly recommended.
Belladonna stories: Another case where I am struggling to select just one story and can recommend the whole body of work. Lots of social downgrade in various shapes and forms - boss to secretary, master to maid, executive to model or a waitress. Let me also remind you that Belladonna also penned a story for this blog, called Who's the Maid Now?
Suzie Q: An American student in Mexico makes the mistake of inventing an online chat persona of a sexy Cuban exotic dancer that a rich guy with connections finds irresistible. As a result he ends up being transformed into a fantasy girl he'd invented.
Descending the Ladder: Paul, a senior executive, swaps places and lives with his young assistant. I am a huge fan of exec2sec stories (both TG and F2F) and this gem from RH Music is among the best I've ever read.
Gender Swap Revenge (affiliate link): I am a big fan of Tabitha Kohl stories and this is one of several that I have in my collection. It has somel of my favorite themes in transformation stories - a cunning plan than backfires, revenge gone wrong, stuck as someone your impersonate. A man's girlfriend swaps their bodies to teach him a lesson and he seeks revenge on her by transforming her body with extreme plastic surgery and becoming a porn actress. Needless to say, the revenge does not quite go as planned. A highly imaginative story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
An excellent recommendation list!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Only scratching the surface really, I'm sure I've forgotten a lot!
DeleteMonica Graz,Betty Noone got Brilliant and realistic stories in Fictionmania. There are many good Downgrade and Culture changing stories in Fictionmania which u didn't mention in this valuable post.
ReplyDeleteMy love and admiration for Monica Graz is well documents elsewhere in this blog, but thanks for pointing that out. Obviously anything with her name attached to it comes with highest recommendation.
DeleteI don't believe I've read anything by Betty Noone. Anything in particular you've liked?
And yeah, I have no doubt there are a lot of good stories out there that I haven't read and will never read!
Betty Noone got two maid stories one with College Professor becoming a black middle aged maid and other one is just like monica's Housemaid in my fifties story where man retires and became a transgender women but when his doctor ask him a favor he slowly become doctor's housemaid
DeleteOh yes, I remember now. I've read the black maid one; surprisingly it wasn't my cup of tea even though it had my favorite cultural change angle. Somehow it didn't click. Let me check the other one.
DeleteMy only complaint about Camille's excellent list is that I've read all of her recommendations and I usually find she points me somewhere new.
ReplyDeletePyrite's story is one of my favourites but his collection at FM has numerous 'must reads' so a browse would be very beneficial for the curious seeker.
Well, someone's is too well-read then!
DeleteAnd yes, Pyrite is definetely in the must-read category.
She-Devil appears to have published stories by c.c. and TOXIS (see review sections in Fictionmania for details. Not good practice.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what the true situation is there. I think She-Devil is the plagiarist and cc and Toxis may be the same person. I know some of the stories are very old and predate the internet as it is now. There is definitely some connection between the 3 noms de plume.
DeleteWhile I realize that your preferences are stories with a more realistic means of achieving a downgrade, if you have not read Conchita Takes Charge, you might give it a try. While it is a body switch story, the story takes it time showing how the former white man is lead to loving her new life as a Mexican maid, serving the person who has usurped her old life.

Thank you very much for this suggestion, I will check it out.
DeleteI've always liked French Lessons by Couture. Features a gigolo turned into a french maid.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.asstr.org/~Couture/FL.htm
Thank you, I am big fan of Couture's work. Somehow I did miss that particular story though.
DeleteI hope anyone here can help me.

Hello, sounds a lot like Scrubbing His Record Clean. You can find it in My books tab. The first few chapters I posted in the blog about a year ago.
DeleteThanks so much
DeleteDo tou know something about this story:
ReplyDeleteCulture shock
it was about a young black girl who moves to a new town and when a white girl makes fun of her, the black girls grandma curse the white girl and the white girl turns into a sexy and slutty hispanic woman who can only speak spanish... there were two sequels with the same little black girl..
Hi
ReplyDeleteNice recommendations.
Can you also recommend some stories that have a good element of "corporal punishments"?
I am looking for something where even if victim is subdued and submissive but physical beatings are still a norm in his/her life.
I have written a story Lawyer2Maid on Fictionmania that some may find of interest.
